The USCCA DSF Program is designed to teach ALL responsibly armed Americans how to respond efficiently and effectively during a dynamic critical incident.

One of the key elements to this is you must be able to process information while performing complex tasks. Defending yourself and those that you love requires you to apply multiple necessary skills, the DSF Program will help you to recognize learned stimuli and initiate learned intuitive responses, freeing up your mind to better process information. This is the key philosophy of the Counter Ambush Methodology. Each level of the DSF Program (L1 and L2) consists of a self-study e-learning module and a full day of instructor guided live fire range drills and simulations.

The DSF E-learning modules are presented by Rob Pincus, world-renowned instructor and developer of the DSF and the Intuitive Defensive Shooting Methodology. You will be introduced to concepts, terminology, and information that will prepare you to maximize your learning potential as you complete the live fire portion of the program. You will also receive a copy of the USCCA’s Defensive Shooting Fundamentals textbook written by Rob Pincus. Your USCCA Certified DSF Instructor will teach you intuitive defensive shooting skills that work well with what the body does naturally under the stress of a dynamic critical incident.

You will realize your competency levels as you learn to apply skills in context during these intense live fire drills and simulations.

DSF L1 prepares the student for the most probable scenario and builds a solid foundation of defensive handgun skills such as; intuitive sighted fire, unsighted fire, using natural kinesthetic alignment, lateral movement, emergency reloads, assessment, presentation from the holster, and home defense concepts.

It’s important that your gear arrangement be the same for both training and when you carry. Loaner gear is available upon request.

Note: the total cost of the class is $210, $180 is paid to GOAL and a separate $30 is paid directly to the USCCA for the e-learning.

    ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:

Rachel Maloney is a co-founder and instructor with OnSight Firearms Training. Growing up in Massachusetts, she found a love for Olympic Indoor Archery early on and rose to claim the state championship for her age group at 13. It was this dedication she carried over to every part of her life, moving to firearms shortly after college. Through the years, she has been fortunate enough to train with top-tier firearms instructors, edged-weapon instructors, and martial arts instructors. Along with firearms, she is a dedicated martial artist and instructor, leading martial arts and self-defense courses since 2010. Rachel’s coaching philosophy is just that: she wants to see her student succeed and approaches her role as a true coach. Taking to the range the skills learned from years of working with people of all ages, genders, and personalities to overcome in a physical confrontation, it’s her goal to see her students grow and learn the skills to be confident in their training with firearms.

Rachel has trained with and learned from some of the best in the firearms training industry: Steve Tarani, Kelly Venden & Criterion Tactical, Paul Sharp, Dave Harrington, Mike Janich, Steve Fisher, Scott Ballard, John McGregor, SigSauer Academy, William April, Craig Douglas & Shivworks, Scott Reidy, Dark Angel Medical, Alex Hartmann & Ridgeline, John Murphy & FPF Training, Scott “Jedi” Jedlinski & Modern Samurai Project, Raven Firearms Training, Ashton Ray and 360 Performance Shooting, Protective Shooting Concepts, Chris Fry & MDTS Training, Tom Givens, Pat MacNamara & TMACS, and many more.
