Thorton is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday in Lynn District Court on charges of discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building; possession of a firearm without a license (third offense;) and malicious destruction of property over $1,200. Link to story
Crack dealer given sixteen and a half year sentence in 2007 arrested with gun.
Another #MACourtFails felon with a long crime history, he was sentenced to a sixteen and a half year prison term in 2007 for dealing crack. Link to story
“Known gang member” who punched cop in eye before fleeing to avoid arrest, who was then arrested after pursuit with loaded firearm, gets probation – charges dropped.
Court report: Tyvon W., 28, of Worcester, was sentenced to 2½ years in the House of Correction after pleading guilty to carrying a firearm without a license. The balance of the sentence was suspended for 2 years with probation. He was sentenced to a concurrent term of 2 years in the House of Correction after pleading guilty to assault and battery on a police officer. The balance of the sentence was suspended for 2 years with probation. He was placed on two concurrent terms of 2 years’ probation after pleading guilty to carrying a loaded firearm without a license and resisting arrest. As a condition of probation, he was ordered not to possess weapons. A charge of possession of ammunition without a firearm ID card was dismissed.
Criminal who shot into crowd of people – wounding two, gets arrested in Worcester on gun charges a year later. He is now released on time served.
He was arrested for shooting the two people in 2012, then with a firearm in 2013, yet he was released on time served and today is a free man. Here is a list of his charges since 2011: assault with a dangerous weapon and using a firearm while committing a crime of violence that resulted in injury (shooting two people in front of a nightclub); possession of a firearm by a person who has been convicted of a crime of violence; firing in a compact area; and possession of stolen goods (firearm), carrying a firearm without a license, carrying a loaded firearm without a license, possession of ammunition without a firearm ID card, (subsequent offense), assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, armed robbery, armed carjacking and kidnapping. Criminal arrested a year ago on gun charges now arrested for New Years Eve shooting – murder.
Just over a year after being arrested on gun possession charges, this #MACourtFails alum is arrested again for the NYE shooting , this time with two guns. Once again, if #MALeg were serious about “gun violence” there would be a lot more outrage about this. Link to story
GPS bracelet clad felon arrested for home invasion with gun
Officers ascertained that the suspect was presently on probation and, consequently, wearing an electronic monitoring bracelet on his person. Armed with this knowledge, officers were able to track the suspect… link to report

Members of the BPD Latent Print Unit were able to locate finger prints on the weapon identifying Chawki Ibrahim, 18, of Lower Roxbury. Further investigation revealed that the suspect, who is currently on a GPS monitoring device, was in the area at the time the firearm was recovered. Link to story

Drug dealing – armed career criminal arrested second consecutive time for gun possession.
As a result of the execution of the warrants, Davis will be charged with the following: Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Unlawful Possession Firearm 2nd and Subsequent Violation, Armed Career Criminal Level II, Possession of Class D with Intent to Distribute as well as Possession of Class B with Intent to Distribute Subsequent Offense. Convicted rapist arrested in 2016 after high speed car chase busted for murder.
“Patterson has a lengthy criminal record, according to prosecutors, including an Essex County rape conviction. In October 2016 Patterson was arrested after leading Saugus and Lynn Police on a wild car chase. After crashing his car, Patterson fled on foot, leaping several fences before being apprehended in the Saugus River. At the time, he had three outstanding warrants.” Link to story

Violent felon busted for armed home invasion in Jan 2018 busted with gun & drugs.
Lynch was arrested and charged with illegal possession of a firearm, illegal possession with intent to distribute a Class D drug (marijuana) and threatening to commit a crime.
Lynch was also arrested in early January last year and charged in connection with a New Year’s Eve armed home invasion in Canton. The status of that case wasn’t immediately available. Link to story

Felon with long criminal record including three firearms arrests, assaults teenage boy for shoveling snow.
Logan, 38, pleaded not guilty Wednesday at Woburn District Court. He was held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing Feb. 21. He is facing charges of carrying a firearm without a license (fourth offense), disorderly conduct and assault with a dangerous weapon, and disturbing the peace. Link to story
Armed Level 1 Career Felon arrested again with gun.
The officers had stopped the suspect after observing a street level drug transaction at which time they were able to safely recover a loaded .40 caliber Springfield Armory handgun, a loaded .380 caliber Ruger handgun and one plastic bag of heroin packaged for sale from inside the vehicle . New Bedford man “sentenced” for illegal firearms charges.
“The defendant was out on bail for one gun case that was connected to a shooting where the defendant was carrying a fully loaded illegal firearm and was then arrested with a second illegal gun,” District Attorney Quinn said. “This defendant is a danger to the community and is contributing to the lawlessness that afflicts our cities.”
