June 13 @ 6:00 PM - 10:00 PM$75.00
State Focus: Massachusetts
The use of force, whether non-deadly or deadly force, is illegal except under very specific conditions. Self Defense Law & Legal Use of Force will focus on Mass. law and introduce you to those legal conditions for the justified use of force. Such knowledge will help you stay on the right side of the law whether you are confronted by an aggressor away from home or in your home. Not knowing the law of self-defense puts a gun owner at risk criminally, civilly, and financially. If you own a gun, you need to Know The Law of self-defense to protect yourself and your family from physical harm and from financial disaster due to court and legal actions.
Course Instructor, John McAdam, Ph.D. is a Certified Instructor Graduate of Attorney Andrew Branca’s Law of Self-Defense Instructor Program. Also, John is a Professor Emeritus from Marist College, Poughkeepsie, NY. John’s background in firearms includes completing courses at Sig Sauer Academy in Epping, New Hampshire. Included among those courses are Sig Sauer’s four Progressive Shooting Development Courses. In addition to firearm’s proficiency and safety, John developed a keen interest in the law of self-defense and the legal use of force. That interest motivated John to complete courses specifically focused on the law of self-defense, such as the Use of Forcecourse with Technical Handgun Training (THT) of New York. Following the THT course, John completed additional courses focused on the law of self-defense with Attorney Andrew Branca of the Law of Self-Defense (LOSD).
