GOAL Contributing to Firearms Policy Coalition’s Challenge to Maryland’s “Assault Weapons” Ban

Gun Owner’s Action League (GOAL) has contributed $5,000 to an Amicus Curiae Brief in support of the Plaintiff in Bianchi v. Frosh, 21-1255 (4th Cir. Sep. 17, 2021). This case was filed to challenge Maryland’s ban on so-called “assault weapons”-similar to Massachusetts’ ban. We hope our contribution will help the Courts to find that ban and other bans as unconstitutional. However, and unfortunately, even if the Federal Court overturns Maryland’s ban, it will have no effect on Massachusetts as Maryland is in the Fourth District and Massachusetts is in the First District.
