On
Saturday, March 29, 2008 the League of Essex
County Sportsmen's Clubs held its Annual Banquet
at the Hilltop Steak House in Saugus, MA. At
their event the League surprised GOAL's
Executive Director Jim Wallace by honoring him
with the Hank Walker Sentinel Goose Award.
This
coveted award is given to those who have
dedicated their lives to being ever watchful in
protecting the rights of sportsmen and
conservation. In the past, this award has been
given to Governors, Congressman, Senators and a
handful of others.
"I am
honored and humbled to have received this award
from the League," said Jim Wallace of GOAL. "To
be included into the small fraternity of people
that have received this award means a great deal
to me. I would like to thank the League and the
Walker family for bestowing this honor on me."
