GOAL Signs on to State Firearm
Association Amicus Brief in Heller Case
Read the Brief
On Monday, February 11, 2008 Gun Owners' Action League
joined 39 other state firearm associations in filing an
amicus brief on the Heller case. This landmark case may well
decide the future of freedom for this nation and indeed that
world.
"We here in Massachusetts know all too well what takes
place when a government removes our freedom," said Jim
Wallace Executive of Gun Owners' Action League. "The lessons
learned here in Massachusetts emphasize the failure of gun
control laws and the removal of freedom in the name of
so-called safety. People who commit criminal firearm actions
are [generally] not worthy of the freedom that the second
amendment is designed to provide. It is obvious that this
sector of society does not have the ability to responsibly
live in a free society. Therefore it is equally obvious that
a free society should never suffer a loss of freedom as a
result of those who are not capable [of living
responsibly].”
