Public Safety Cmty. Firearms Hearings May 12th
Yesterday we had a great day at the state house in which many of our bills were discussed.
Thanks to all that attended! Now it is time to write/email/and call the members of the committee, and to ask them politely to release the bills with a favorable report.
Without a favorable report the bills will most like go to "study" where they will languish for another year. Please don't let this happen!
Here is a page with some tips on writing. Here is a page with contact info for all of the committee members, please note it has an "email all" link. We have found that if you can take the time to hand write a letter it will be much better received, however if you are pressed for time, send an email! Either way, please take some time and write for your rights!
Below is a list of the bills that were discussed. Some of the highlights include GOAL's H.1568 Civil Rights and Public Safety Act, GOAL's H.1566 An Act Relative to Constitutional Rights, H1567 An Act Relative to the Right To Carry Firearms, S.1189 An Act Relative to the Lawful Sale of Ammunition, S.1223 An Act Relative to the Confiscation of Firearms During a State of Emergency (KAtrina Bill), and finally, H.670 Rep Websters bill which would over turn the AG list. If you have not yet, please take some time to read through these important bills.
Thanks!
